jewelry care
unless otherwise noted, beads used are silver and gold plated.
plating will eventually oxidize and tarnish over time due to expose to body oils and other natural elements.
a few tips for keeping your jewelry looking new:
- a soft cloth can be used to gently rub the surface and help keep it clean and polished. do not use a polishing cloth because it will strip away the plating
- remove your jewelry before you shower or swim in chlorine or salt water
- water exposure can and will cause metals and dyed stones (opals and gemstones) to change or tarnish
- apply lotion/oils, makeup, or perfume before putting on your jewelry
- store your jewelry where it won’t rub against other hard substances, like a soft bag
due to the delicacy of each handmade piece, please handle with each piece with care.
- these are handmade pieces that you are purchasing and are delicate
- the beads on the necklaces MAY move along the wire, causing wire to be visible in certain areas
- due to the nature of some beads, there will be some movement of beads on the wire allowing it to lay correctly around the neck
my beads and stones tend to vary.
- stones and glass beads may include particles of natural elements due to the way they are made.
- opals and gemstone beads vary with each string and may include small imperfections.
- natural stones are dyed to create their colors.
- please know that all pieces may vary slightly from product images and stones may vary within all of our pieces.
